Dear Neighbor,

Thanks for visiting my website. I’m running for the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in District 2, which includes Hayward, Union City, Newark, Sunol, and Northern Fremont (Niles and Ardenwood).

The election is in June 2010, and between now and then, I will be walking neighborhoods throughout the District, to hear your concerns and ideas for our community.

County government provides some of our most vital services: health care, jobs, public safety, open space, libraries, roads, and more.

But, during these challenging times, we are faced with difficult choices. We desperately want to fund what matters, but we often lack the resources to do so.

So we must all come together, share the burden, and work in ways we haven’t before. We must take full inventory of what’s working and what isn’t, so we can retool or replace failing programs and adequately fund our most essential services.

The people of our community are counting on us to fight for them. I look forward to joining with you in the coming months to do just that.
